According to a news report from WABE (the NPR station here in Atlanta), food supplies at the Atlanta Community Food Bank have hit a historic low while the demand in assistance has dramatically increased due to the struggling economy. Not only are food supplies down in general but so is the amount of food with significant nutritional value (canned vegetables vs. sports drinks).
I know that almost all of us are living on tight budgets these days, but for decades the ACFB has done so much for our local communities in their fight to end hunger. Now is the time that disadvantaged families need assistance the most. For more information on how to volunteer, donate funds or donate food, please visit the Atlanta Community Food Bank's website at: http://atlantafoodbank.com/info/involved/.

This is alarming. Hopefully President McCain will fix the economy.
You still have a lot of recipes and pictures to post, though...
